It's the cosmetic version of a cleanser prescribed by your favorite OB-GYN to address hormonal imbalance. It's a foaming cream formula designed to tackle head-on excess sebum production, stubborn blemishes, and extreme dry patches. It's the first step in your skincare regimen to help control how hormonal fluctuations affect your skin.

Ingredients

Acid Trio

• Salicylic Acid from Willowbark: A BHA that exfoliates dead cells from the top layer of epidermis and minimizes the appearance and spread of blemishes.
• Azelaic Acid: Brightens the skin tone while visibly improving skin texture and reducing the look of blemishes.
• Mandelic Acid: An AHA that lifts away surface skin cells and provides age-defying benefits. pH balanced to provide hydrating results.

Niacinamide

Controls oil, diminishes the appearance of acne scars, balances, and reinforces the skin barrier function.

Other Featured Ingredients

• Hexylresorcinol: A type of phenolic lipid, with antioxidant and astringent properties, that visibly brightens for a more even-toned complexion.
• Bakuchiol: Naturally derived retinol alternative to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

How To Use

Use it to get skin in tune with your skin's changing needs. Dampen your face and dispense a quarter-sized amount of cleanser onto your fingertips. Gently massage onto all areas of the face while eyes are shut. Remove with lukewarm water or a soft, damp washcloth. Use twice daily for best results. For external purposes only. Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of eye contact, thoroughly rinse with water.

Speaking with my patients in the office, it became apparent that I needed to create a cleanser for hormonal skin. I have been prescribing my own cleanser formula to my patients for years and gave the formula to the Volition chemists, who have sourced cosmetic alternatives to the OTC ingredients so a prescription may no longer be needed to have access to my acne-fighting miracle cleanser!

What inspired you in the first place to prescribe a cleanser to your patients?

I see so many women with blemished, oily and acne primed skin that I wanted them to have a product that is the very first step in getting to healthier looking and clearer skin. I know this starts with clean skin.

What skin results have you seen occur as a result of your cleanser formula?

I have seen my skin look healthier and clearer; as well as free of acne - sometimes just from using only my cleanser.

What do you like most about being an OB-GYN?

Women’s health has always been a passion for me and being able to give the gift of life to so many parents is rewarding. The ability to educate women on feeling healthy, having confidence and looking better gives me great sense of purpose.

Can your Skin Rhythm formulas be used by men just as much as by women?

Absolutely.
