How would you describe your skin, and what are the most important steps in your skincare routine? Although my skin type is dry, it hasn’t always been that way. In my late teens and early twenties, my skin was oily and I developed acne that eventually left some scarring. I rarely applied sunscreen when I was younger which eventually led to sun damage. I have started noticing premature lines and wrinkles in addition to hyperpigmentation. The most important step in my skincare routine is using hydrating ingredients with a multitude of anti-aging benefits.

What inspired you to incorporate prickly pear as an ingredient in your product?
Prickly pear extract comes from a cactus, and what holds more water than a cactus! Prickly pear extract has numerous benefits for your skin. It helps the skin replenish and retain and improves the overall appearance of skin by visibly brightening, smoothing, and evening the skin tone.

Why is it important for you to bring the prickly pear ingredient to the US beauty market? Prickly Pear is found in the central and western regions of Mexico, the Caribbean Islands and in the deserts of southwest America. I felt it was important to incorporate it into the product because so many of us suffer from dry skin, especially during the winter.

What is the main thing your product improves on overnight cream formulas that exist already?
