1. Describe your skin type and your major skin concerns.
   My skin type is acne-prone, oily T-zone, and dryness under my eyes. I’ve seen a huge improvement from avoiding white sugar, consuming a diet high in healthy fats, and drinking loads of water.

2. You're a chef & recipe developer, so why do you want to create a skincare product?
   I believe that healthy skin starts in your gut and I’ve managed to transform my skin greatly over the past few years. Creating a skincare product feels like a natural progression or extension of my passion for nourishing and transforming your health through foods that fuel you.

3. Tell us about the inspiration for your new book.
   The inspiration for my new book can be captured in one word: “everyday” approachable food. It features an appealing array of cozy, comfort food that’s made using healthier ingredients and leaves you feeling energized.

4. What do you see as the connection between diet and beauty?
   Inevitably linked. That quote— People are what they eat. There’s an undeniable connection between dietary habits and one’s overall health.

5. Explain the importance of avocados in your recipes and your Volition moisturizer.
   Avocados are my BFF and hero product! The incomparable creaminess and texture they add to hearty salads, creamy dips, and fudgy chocolate brownies is what makes them the star ingredient.
